I'll admit that I didn't have hopes for Bloodstained after I learned that Inticreates was behind it and they really ruined MN9. Well,it turns out I was wrong. (On another note, I kind of wish we could bring back the CV side of the forums, as MM and CV are my two favorite gaming franchises.) In any case, if you haven't see it yet, here's the E3 gameplay demo:

What we can observe from the video:

- Plays like an IgaVania should with higher graphic qualities. That's a relief.
- Combat feels fluid. Very fluid.
- You can use different weapons apparently, I'd hope they do it like Aria/Dawn but probably not because of $32 DLC boss/weapon.
- You can actually absorb and equip enemy abilities. This was the best thing about Dawn/Aria as far as I was concerned, it's good to see that the feature is alive and well here.
- Enemies/Boss look right out of Castlevania. All it is, is Castlevania with another sprite and a different name.
- Just backed it on FanGamer.

So, thoughts? I mean, what else is there to say about it? It looks pretty much like I'd expect and keeps the gameplay elements of the series intact. I was kind of worried, but I'll be more than happy to jump on this in (March - they say.)

Game is also DRM-Free, so that's a plus for me. Smile

Um... you mean the company who made Azure Striker Gunvolt, an excellent spiritual successor to ZX? And now who's making a sequel that's coming out in the next few months?

Hate on MN9 and Comcept all you want (until they make up for it), they did a shit job, but Inti has been barely involved in it plus the games they made recently (ASG, ASG2, Gal*Gun, etc.) have been fantastic and I refuse having hate spread to them just because their name appears in the credits of MN9. The fact that their own games are excellent and a game they only worked on is mediocre most likely means Comcept screwed up and not them (also, when Inti worked with WayForward for Shantae Pirate's Curse, it turned out absolutely fantastic).

Back on topic, and yeah, this looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait to play it.

Yeah, Azure doesn't run for me on PC (I guess it's my laptop) but it ran on my old one was was fun as hell. Pirate's Curse I just bought today (It was on sale for $8 at GOG.)

I am kind of worried about the DLC though. $60 for a boss and a new weapon seems a bit much first off. Just for me, I think. Also, there's the fact that the game is being delivered in installments. If they go the Shovel Knight way and release it free, I'll buy the game. If not, I'll wait until everything has been released and get a special edition from GOG. I don't feel like paying for halves of the game.
Alsodid ya guys forget the other games they made? MEGAMAN ZERO 1-4, ZX, ZXA, Megaman 9 and 10???

Yeah of course that's true, those games are awesome, I was just referring to the current era to prove that it's definitely not their fault MN9 failed.
