Draxian Wars

Draexellos placed himself more at ease, though he was still in a position that he could permanently pin the mercenary to the ceiling with his drill lance. "Looks like we're going to have quite a few checks to fill at the next city..." Draexellos pondered whether, really, they should have hired this inexplicable mercenary. But, then, 012 was just found inexplicably one day, and they hired her. Was 012 her real name, anyways? It would be interesting to check at some point.

As for prep work, having already reloaded, refueled, and rearmed, Draexellos was good to go.

[Zyros]

In the distraction provided by the new mercenary, 012 had made her elave from the rest of the group and was proceeding back to the cealed entrance to the now overun town. Though she preferred to side with the Draxians, the other side payed just as well, and based on the current situation, the other side had a better vantage point. Besides, she had already received her pay for the task at the town; re-armament, so there was no need to help the Draxians for a bit.

Making sure to stay as quiet as possible, 012 finally arrived back where she started and placed her rifle right up against the cealed entrance. She fired three successive shots before punching the door open, exiting, and then sealing it behind her. Given that she was physically stronger than the Draxians, it wasn't too difficult for her.

012 proceeded to make her way to where the main forces had gathered in the town, keeping out of sight the entire time. She finally reached a high point on a building, and jumped off, landing just infront of Scythe.

"Calculations indicate that you are of high importance to this army. I can offer my assistance with further missions should you be willing to pay. I will take my leave if you are not interested."

Scrythe examines 012 for a moment and pauses to think about it.
After a minute he snaps his fingers as if remembering something and then speaks quite plainly:
"I'm not only interested, I think I will hire you. I sent my lieutenant, Crimemisis, to assist another Elite and the forces under her command. He hasn't yet returned. I'd like you to go help them out. They should still be at the fortified ruins about 3 miles from here. Theres an opportunity for extra pay there. I'm sure the draxians already know we're looking so I might as well say that we're attacking the ruins because we believe there might be information on how to either strength our forces or weaken the Draxian Alliance leaders there. I'd suspect you are more familiar with draxians than I am, so You might be able to recognise that information better than we can. I'm willing to pay double your price for that information, triple if its really valuable. Armor Wof, go with the merc. Trizzie's unit is better suited for your skills."

Wing Clanner Officer: "Okay men, Move out."
With those orders they set into the caverns. They are oddly well lit by reflections of pools of water, yet the source of the light is blurred and indeterminate.

Draexellos kept an eye on that one mercenary, that Wraith fellow, as the rest of the column moved on. "Eh... What exactly ARE you, anyways? You're not from any of the Alliance races... And you sure don't look like any Chaos Marine I've ever seen." Draexellos scratched his head with his free hand. And that's when he noticed something off. 012, who was near him less than 10 minutes ago, was gone. He sealed the mouth section of his helmet, not wanting Wraith to hear "mission sensitive data". "All personnel, I require a status report and location on the Draxian freelancer, 012. Is she present in any of your squads?" His com unit received all negatives. ...Shit! "Wing Clanner! We may have a situation! The mercenary, ID only as 012, has disappeared! If she has left the tunnels already, she may be a threat. I recommend posting a rear guard, in case she has changed employers already!"

[Lord Wraith]

Wraith turned to Draexellos.
"I'm a Kallal, I come from deep within the jungles to the south west of here. My tribe tends to keep to themselves. Over our history I mark the third member of my species to leave the tribe."
Wraith became suspicious of the others sudden retreat into his helmet. With no lips to read, and since a heightened sense of hearing was not one of his attributes, the assassin could only guess what Draexellos may be communicating with the others about. A quick sweep with his eyes, Wraith looked at every face around the group. One was missing, what was her name? 012. That was it, his paycheck competition was gone. Good and bad for him. Good because that meant more for him to make. However bad due to the fact she knew their location and numbers. Plus who knew what else. While Wraith may be for hire, he did have some sense of honour to those he chose to side with. This 012 was out to make a quick buck or two. She'd die soon enough.

Excellent. This meant a better pay, better odds at survival, and an oppertunity to strengthen ties with the other races...

"The foot soldier will only increase my ETA. I will proceed on my own."

012 nodded in agreement to the plan and set off at a fast pace, swinging her large gun over her shoulder. The distance wasn't very long, and so it wouldn't take long to reach her destination, but the soldier that had been sent with her would have slowed her pace to much, so it was only logical to abandon the Wof to his own problems.

Having arrived not too long after leaving Scrythe, 012 approached the closest creature to her.

"I have been sent by Scrythe to aid in this operation. I seek Crimemisis."

===Fortified ruins of Rteow===

012 had a address an multi armed insect like space marine, covered in both dirt and what looked like grease. The soldier was shocked, initially grabbed its fire arm, a specialized weapon-tool variety favored by base engineers. After a split second of just having its weapon drawn, it returns it to his shoulder and points towards the battlefield.
"He's over there fighting on the bridge. You can't miss him, he's the crazy one."
The bridge mentioned was a natural land bridge sloping upward over a chasm towards the main gate once rather developed ancient complex, more of a mountain carved into a series of interconnected aged castles surrounded by a common wall than anything else. The battle lines were quite striking however, while the draxian line was what one would expect from a trained force in their position, the Chaos marine battle lines were marked with newly made decently advanced, although temporary, fortifications. It looked more like they were scrambling to built a fortress there. Or quarantine the area. And most of the Chaos Marine forces were focused on improving these temporary defenses. This was a seige. 1/3 of the Chaos marine's force fighting here were different. This smaller force was different. They were actually trying to advance, and were clearly well trained. The draxian forces had them pinned behind friendly lines however. With one except. Legless and missing and arm this cloaked single fighter rushs the Draxian forces with a large flaming hammer only to be held up in the middle expansive bridge when a detachment of draxian forces pretty much bum rush him. His fighting style appear irratic and untrained, and if this was a single battle even a trained would swear he left too many openings. Against this many trained fighters the truth is highlighted, A trained observer would start to realise that he is an unreadible master of leaving false opening. He uses his red tipped branched wings to choatically float out of the way of attacks. But the enemy proves to be too many for even him, and he is driven back to the choas marine lines, where the draxian forces quickly retreat back to thier lines before the gun turrets chew them to pieces. The lone warrior backs further off, assumely to decide new orders for the advance, for that lone warrior is thier leader, Lt. Crimesis

==Tunnels==
Despite being cut off from the daylight, the caverns have an ambience to them thanks to random outcrops of reflective crystals and a sprinkling of incandesent crystals. Even with this dull lighting allowing them to see well enough to traverse the caves the Draxian forces only make it about a half mile into the cavern before thier first major issue occurs. A section of the cave falls right in the middle of the draxian line. A few screams are heard as the cave section continues to cave in... it is likely that this will force them into two groups.

Well shit. Draexellos backed away from the falling rock rather quickly, then started looking for a route out. The rocks blocked himself and half of the line off from the way forward, and the rest of the line. He thought he found another route, so he motioned for the rest of the group to move forward.

A humanoid had been following the members of the Draxian Alliance in the caves for quite some time know, creeping through the few shadows there were without a sound being made.
The humanoid had been right under the collapse of rock and debris, and decided to leap forward with a number of others. Unfortunately for him, he was no longer hidden. He contemplated quickly moving back into the shadows, hoping no soldier had seen him, but found it to be a pointless idea.
Lyekis stood there motionless, awaiting his fellow soldiers to get up and continue on forward.

012 had been running towards the bridge while sniping at the same time. Every shot she fired landed on the mark, but it seemed to do little given the number of Draxian forces. It was only when she reached the bridge itself, and the one who she had been sent to serve, did she cease shooting and slammed her rifle into the ground. A moment later, a barrage of missiles was unleashed and, even if all the missiles did not cause damage, served as a blinding light to buy time for the Chaos Marines

"012. Mercenary. Orders?"

Near the edge of the battlefield, two figures wearing cloaks could be seen watching over the battlefield with interest.

"So, do we go in and try to stop them?" The shorter of the two said, her voice conveying a childlike innocence.

"No, Gardenia. I'm content with letting them rip each other to pieces. We only strike if they come our way. The other said, his voice saying he didn't care who won this battle.
