This is a modification I made of the fanmade Famicom version of Rockman 7. This mod lets you play as Roll instead of Mega Man, using the sprites from "Mobile Rockman".




All of the changes in this mod are graphical. No levels or game mechanics have been tinkered with. The changed graphics are Mega Man and Rush, who are now Roll and Tango respectively. There are a couple of other small changes as well, such as the coloring on the password screen and menus.




Instead of changing color like Mega Man does, Roll transforms into one of her many Powered Up costumes when she equips a weapon. She also changes to her MM8 outfit when using Tango.

Actually I'm doing a mod like this for the NES games. Though I wish I could put Mobile Roll in it!

I know how to edit levels, and I have done so before in other mod projects. This was intended to be a simple character mod, though, so I left the levels alone.

@Kapus: Aside from Valentines Roll, did you forgot Vacation Roll or just left her out?

Btw, I wanna try modding this game, too! Is it true that you only need MSPaint to change the sprites? How?

I didn't forget Vacation Roll, no. Not all of her costumes could be included in the game. Vacation, Valentines Sports and Alley Cat were left out, although Roll's Super Adaptor sprites allude to Alley Cat a bit.

Yes, you only need mspaint to mod the game's graphics. All of the graphics are stored in the game folder and you can edit them as you like there.

I love when people put Roll in Mega Man games a lot. She's one of my favourite characters of the classic series. Good work in this mod BTW. Did you sprite all of Roll's variations yourself?

Yes. I do a lot of spriting in my spare time, and I tinker with Roll sprites pretty often.
