RE: Megaman Christmas Edition
T-this is a joke...right?

Aside from using very similar to the Admin of the site's own Christmas Carol projects, what about this is Christmas-y? Aside from slapping Santa hats on a few penguins and Wily, nothing else remotely says this.
The "stage" is uninspired at best, filled with an over abundance of enemies with no real structure or reason other than to create a faux challenge.

Seriously...what is this

Oh for gods sake it's August the 28th

At least most companies have the decency to wait until Halloween is over to start blasting Christmas down our throats.

RE: Megaman Christmas Edition
So, are we not gonna talk about the titlescreen's Christmas tree graphic being taken straight from Christmas Carol (and judging by the quality, screencapped from a Youtube video of CC)?

Quote:Game making in 6 steps:
1: Get assets and program
2: Smash the two together until stuff happens
3: Beat your face into your keyboard when stuff breaks/doesn't want to work
4: Continue beating your face into your keyboard until you've smashed the right code
5: Rejoice that it works and move on to the next thing
6: Go back to Step 2 and repeat

I think the present bomb is from Christmas Carol 2's wily machine (that is a lot better than this game's unoriginal wily capsule fight). If I can say anything about this game though, try not to completely rip off a game from a website, and then advertise it on said website, as people are going to notice how its a rip-off a lot faster than if it advertised on a different site, but while you are at it, don't make it a rip-off of any fan-game, and try to be...original, you can take ideas from other fan-games, but not completely rip-off them.

Also the fact that its august also doesn't help too, at least Ace waits till December to start making MMCC...

this is the best fangame ive ever played 3,000000000000000000000000000000000000000/11 and i hope to see more!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!1 xddddddddddd

Seriously though, this is probably one of the most uninspired pieces of crap I've seen. I'm sure you'd love Mega Man Origins.

Novice animator and general animation fanatic, Bob Clampett advocate, and generally apathetic towards Mega Man as a character. Amateur chip musician, but that's second priority.

Mother of god...

First off, this game looks awful.
Second off,

and finally...

Quote:notice that this was our first project and we were not have enough experience

No. No, that is not an excuse. "This is my first project therefore I'm not going to put in any effort" or "I don't have enough experience to make something good" is not an excuse to producing crap. When you make a game, if you admit that you aren't good, then it is your responsibility to do your best. A big experienced developer company can get away with not doing their best because it's going to turn out alright in the end anyway, but you can't. If you publish a half-assed piece of work and then defend yourself by saying you can't do better, you're acting very selfishly. If you do put effort and you still can't make something good, then market is as a prototype, maybe ask a few questions on how to make this better, and you get the idea. At least don't be lazy.

Y+1 is my first full-game project. I don't think I'm losing too much modesty when I say that this proves that this is no excuse.

So, I usually have no problem with people reusing my sprites. I just expect to be informed before hand. If people ask? I usually say yes, regardless of the project.

I'm not exactly sure what sort of reaction you were expecting here, but its certainly not going to be a good one.

Since you didn't bother asking, please remove the stuff I created. I do not grant permission for their use to you in any way shape or form.

You'll also probably want to remove the graphics you stole from other fangames too, but in this case I am explicitly asking you to remove my work.

We are sorry we did not mean to steal effort or the work of someone else , but we took some of Christmas holiday symbols no more , and if it found any similarity between this game and the other game , the company didn't mean that error.

No, you have literately taken graphics made by me, which are not public domain, and used them.

How is that a hard concept to understand?

This is still plagiarism. It doesn't matter how small it is - you're a thief.

Yup, so stolen assets, and a denial that it was stolen using the poor attempt at saying they're symbols, and nothing more.

Not how it works in this world. You took something someone else made, and used it without their permission. That is called theft.

So we're done with this here.
