Thanks in advance to anyone who gave me one star. Well, I guess it was well deserved.

Recenly I was wondering about giving an overhaul to my first generation. Music Man was always my personal favourite, but his sprite always bugged me. Now that he received most changes, I'm here presenting his history.

Looking at his body, he looks like a Bellhop boy (Though there may be a music reference I may be missing out entirely), but his head tells me he's a DJ (with the Cap + Headphone combo). As far as the sprite goes, his head looks a bit awkward, maybe add a bit more of a curve to his face and add some height to his cap.

Actually his body was inspired by uniforms worn by marching band players and hat isn't your typical ballcap, but more of a newsboy cap. Thought it would be more original and fitting for not your typical music-oriented robot master.

Very nice! I was going to say I preferred Sand Woman's very first design, but this one is even more lovely! All of them look great. In fact, they look like they belong in Revolution Remix (it reminds me of that style). These redesigns (especially first gen) look in line with the classic series and the designs are a lot more cohesive and easy on the eyes now. All I can really say is... great job! P.S. Damage Man is my favorite - really great job on him.

Edit: Is Hour Woman basically Sand Woman, but based off of an hour glass? Because that is REALLY cool! Also, the reversed purple stuff on Reverse Man's shoulders is a nice touch.

Sorry if I gave you the cold shoulder... It's easy to do when you're dead Confused

First, I used the same palette that RR uses, but not sure if that alone makes it look similiar. Second, she was always based off of an hourglass, but Sand was too common and I felt that the previous color scheme was too forced. Third, thanks for all the kind words.

Ah, interesting. I think it might also be the shaping of the bodies and such. The new coloring for Hour Woman is also lovely. Again, great job - and you are very welcome.

My comment about Focus' color combination still stands, the pink and the blue could use more contrast between them. The same goes for Quill woman for her shade of black blending in with her outlines. That makes her design stand out more imo. I forgot to mention this earlier but is your Mega Man sprite final?His proportions and pose need work. It looks as if he's stuck in a permanent a hip thrust with his arm swung back. Speaking of which, the non buster arm could use more refinement. As for the others, they're fine atm.

The rest of the mugshots was actually "finished" a few weeks ago, but I kept forgetting on uploading this. Finished is in quotation marks, because I have a very strong feeling most of them aren't final.

Glaive is unarmed because the only throwable glaive I was able to make was too big.

Here are my -additional- thoughts on your current set:

- Grip Man looks less like a Sniper joe now but I still think he needs a bit more of a color variation unless his bio deems it necessary. I'd suggest incorporating some white into his design.
- Glaive's head head needs improvement, especially the top that doesn't look like a blade or sharp object.
- The details of Chase's torso doesn't translate well to pixel form. I can't seem to make out the race car design from her art.
- Antic's head and arms need work, especially the arms which are both tear dropped shaped. I wouldn't know that she's Elec based until you told me, otherwise, I would have pegged her as a rock type due to her column design.
- You could define the hands of Scarab.

I've put the slightly refined version of them in the previous post. Also, color schemes is the one thing I'm very stubborn about most of the time.

Anyway, I' did a small series recntly, and it's about doing sprites for robot masters from around the DeviantArt if they don't have one already.

You could start by telling us what exactly you are trying to make them do to give us better context. For Hour Woman, the way her arms are bent backwards look unnatural especially on the last 2 poses (sideward A&B).

I do know what I'm going for with Hour. One of her moves is performing a horizontal 360 to unleash the sand stream. Besides that I'm planning to add regular jumping and shooting frames and her half-beniding the arms. Though making the effects for the attacks will be much harder.
I just wanted to get proportions right on transitions, altough it just looks awkward at best.
Also, by last two poses you mean rear and side view or jest the two variants of side view?
