A Comprehensive List of Mega Man Fangames (With Links)
I've updated a few links and added a few games that have been mentioned recently here in the INC forums. Whee.

Also, fishing for help here: I've been made aware of Protoman's Return, VS Harp Note, and Mega Man Next Remix. Any leads on where to download them? I've only just started poking around, but maybe somebody has a copy handy.

Right, so here's "Megaman : The RPG", its a really old game that was released in 2005.

Also, there was a side story for the game called "Fireman's Quest", I'll dig though my files and see if I still have it.

Here's an unfinished Battle Network game called "Megaman Battle Network - Clash of the Net Navis"

There was this site called fangamez.net that had a list of some really good megaman fangames, the websites gone though, but you can still check it out using archive.org

Thanks for the links! I've added both games to the list, plus Mega Man: Dissolution, yet another Mega Man Z, and its sequel. I've also removed the canceled Mega Man Zeta (unless anyone can furnish me with a beta download).

Alright, I was suppose to post this last week, but I kept forgetting about it, sorry about that.

Gensou Network - Koki Thlal, or "Corky" and Technodot

This is a crossover fangame between Megaman Battle Network and Touhou Project, just a warning though the game is really challenging. And currently its a Japanese language only game.

You can download the latest version in the link provided below:

Megaman RPG : Fireman's Quest - Super Shadowman

Right, I did mentioned before that the rpg fangame that I posted before had a side-story right? Well, here it is! It's a bit more polished than its original game though.

Megaman Legends Reploid Legacy - Hypershell

An rpg maker game that is a semi sequel to Megaman Legends, I don't remember much of the game other than the fact that its a demo and there has been no news about it for a long time.

Thanks again! I've added these games to the list, plus Mega Maker and Mega Man World. I also removed Mega Man + due to lack of updates in the last year and nothing publicly available to play; if the project is still active, lemme know and I'll reinstate it.

Oh my god this is awesome! Much more than i could find by myself!

Thanks you for making this! It's specially good for games that have been put down by their authors and there's no easy way to find the latest available version. I was stuck on an old version of Perfect Harmony since forever and only thanks to this collection I got the last one!

I'm glad people are finding this list to be helpful! I've added a few new titles, including First Person Mega Man and a few netplay games that require BYOND to run.

I'm overdue for another sweep to see what other games I might have missed; do let me know if you find any others that aren't on the list.

Do you have a link where I can play/download the game?

Wouldn't Mega Pony count as played, as you played it on GCDotNet, or do you only count ones you played on your Flashman85 account?

Furthermore, I think Megaman Alpha would be listed as "Not yet available"

Edit: Would Abobo's Big Adventure Count, due to it having a Megaman Level? Or is that too much a stretch?

What about Rockman/Megaman Zero Rezurrection?

Does Mega Man Unleashed count as a game project that's not available for playing yet? It does have a dedicated DA page and a few songs from CosmicGem so far.

OK, I've added Annihilation, Abobo's Big Adventure, and also Rockman Zero 5 to the list; I changed the download link for Sunrise; and I listed Alpha as "Not yet available."

I can't find a downloadable demo for Rezurrection, and the last official update on the game is over a year old, so I'm leaving that project off the list unless anyone can locate signs of life.

I'm also leaving Unleashed off the list for the moment—there doesn't seem to be a central project page I can monitor for updates, and I haven't even seen a formal announcement that it's an actual game in progress and not just an excuse to draw pictures and compose music.

Here's another fangame I found. It's called Mega Man Beyond. And according to the creator, the demo version should be releasing today. Here's the main website:

BIG UPDATE: I've gone through the list and rechecked everything listed as "Not yet available." Mega Man OP is now downloadable, and I cut a few games that have nothing playable and have shown no sign of progress in over a year. I cut one or two games that didn't technically fit the list criteria, and I added a note about which games require an RPG Maker RTP to run.

Most notably, I added SEVERAL new games, including Beyond, New, Black Rockman Shooter, Project Rockman, Next Remix, Rockman 2: Dawn Will Rise, Blue Boy, Mania, Armada, Super Mega Man Powered Up (which my firewall thinks is creating malicious programs, so download at your own risk), two more stages from Mega Man F, and the incredibly named Mega Man F***ing Zero.

Happy birthday, Mega Man! Hopefully some of these presents aren't unplayably awful.

I've added a couple more games to the list; of note are Super Roll and Make a Good 24 Hour Mega Man Level. Enjoy!

On an unrelated note, I'm seriously considering removing all the Scratch games from the list, for a similar reason to why I don't include ROM hacks: there are too darn many of them to keep up with, and the bar for originality and playability is so low that it's almost not even worth mentioning them as a curiosity. I'm open to opinions.

Yeah, go ahead. They are basically all incredibly low in quality, and often times far, far, faaaaar worse than any rom hack. At least with rom hacks there are quite a few great ones, such as Minus Infinity, or Air Sliding X Burst Chaser, but with Scratch, it's basically all garbage.
