I only found this thread after going through the 8 pages of the "where did we go wrong" one, and was very interested to see what games you did recommend. By far the best I got from this visit was your recommendations of Rock Force! I had it on my hdd it since forever but never actually tried it, having an OC on the front was a bit off putting for me. Now, after going through the first couple of stages, so far I think it's going to end up being my favourite Mega Man fangame!
Also I'm curious what you guys think of Rokko Chan? Even if it's not a Mega Man game by name I found it to be very on-par with the best classic Mega Man games in terms of stage design, difficulty, fun bosses and weapons. It's easily one of my favourites. Too bad it's browser only and it's inevitably going to be lost forever at some point...

Rokko Chan was alright. I think it has a lot of problems with its design, although I'm on mobile right now and don't feel like trying to type out everything at the moment. I'm pretty sure you could download it to your computer if you just dig around in the HTML code of the page a bit though. Maybe I'll take a look later

Rokko Chan is stellar, although it's very much an X game in NES drag.

Hard Hat 3. Excellent game, the thought of playing Speed Man's level rises my andrenaline and I'm serious about it. Gyro Man/Pharaoh Man in the first one.
HH3 has to be my favorite fan game and there's no doubt about it.
