Megaman Fangames Extravaganza
#1

To celebrate Megaman's 30th Anniversary (even if it's still too early for that) i'll be doing a series of videos of me playing the most obscure MM fangames, taken straight from Yoyo games! Some of them had the potential to be good, some of them are bad, some of them have MIDI music, and some of them can't even be qualified as "games", and you'll see why soon...

Here's how it'll work: i'll post a video per day and i'll leave a link(s) to the fangame(s) shown in it.

NOTE: Since there will be more than one fangame on this list and because i don't want to spam the "Let's Play" section with multiple threads about one fangame that mostly it'll be just done in one video i'll be posting all of them here.

Also, why would i upload these videos right now instead of waiting until December to do it? well, there's two reasons for that:
1. I want to get them out of the way, and besides, these videos are the only thing i have right now, no memes, no random videos or anything else right now.
2. Since YouTube is going to discontinue Annotations in May 2 it's better to upload them now than wait for them to die, and trust me, unlike the previous two fangames i played (MM: The Final Chapter & MMZ), i do have lots of things to say about these new fangames right now.

So get your weapons ready! because this will be the start of a wild ride!

Disclaimer: None of the fangames shown were created by me, they belong to their respective owners.

AND NOW THIS SERIES HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED!

To start this marathon here's one of the many "gems" buried in the pile of garbage that i'll be playing. it's Mega Man Dash: Director's Cut. Watch me as i dash through the Intro Stage and fight a boss that shoots unavoidable lasers (grrreeeaaaaat...).

Created by Benjamin8769 and "THE Productions".
Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ireh7yn0ui05ty...or_Cut.exe

NOTE: this fangame was already uploaded by someone else but I played it anyways so i can get a little bit of context when i play the sequel.

Thoughts Behind the Scenes:
This intro stage is just like it's background: a giant, boring desert full of nothing. Enemies were few and far between and there was nothing interesting in it (aside of Treble and it's stupid homing lasers).

The enemies here only did a bit of damage, but that will increase when i get to the main stages (oh boy).

The trainwreck continues...

YouTube took the whole day to process this video but here it is.

Edit: Now with annotations! apparently sometimes i can put them and other times can't, but anyways, here they are!

Original Description:
Mini-ranting about YT ahead!
Would you believe me that this video took literally 24 hours to process?
That's right, 24 FUCKING HOURS TO PROCESS A 13 MINUTES VIDEO.
Not only that, but now i can,'t even put annotations because it crashes.
FUCK YOU YOUTUBE!!!

Anyways, even then there's not much to say here aside of the obnoxious enemies and level design. Although i make it to one of the bosses, (spoiler alert: it's crazy as hell).
But anyways, stay tuned tomorrow (or in 2 or 3 days depending on how long it will take to YT to process the next video) for the sequel.

The MM Fangames Extravaganza continues with Mega Man Dash 2!

Here's the sequel to Mega Man Dash: Director's Cut! completely different to the first game, isn't it? It's a bit more like a traditional MM game, but it still has some issues. Unfortunately it's just a demo, it never got a full release, so enjoy with what little it has, i guess.

The link is already in the video description but don't worry, i'll be posting the links to every game in this marathon (except for MMDash: director's Cut, which was already uploaded before it started) in this thread after it's over.

Next time: some MM fangame demos.

This crazy ride continues!

Today i'll be showing five Megaman fangames that didn't got that far in terms of development (unfortunately i don't have the names of the people who made them).

Megaman: The Comeback Challenge - Wily Stage 1 Demo
Rockman Demo 1.0
Megaman/MM Game

Probably my least favorite episode, and all i have to thank for the controls of the 2nd fangame.

The links are in the video description.

Next Time: More MM Demos and Engines.

This is a great idea. For mutual benefit, could you look through my massive fangame list (found here) and let me know if you have any fangames (but NOT ROM hacks) that aren't on the list, and where to download them? Hopefully you'll see some new things on there that you'd like to stream, too.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I plan to link all the fangames shown until now later in your thread (and also update it every time i show a new one).
But yeah, let's keep this marathon going!

More MM Fangames and also some engines that never got completed. Also, I WIN in one of them.

The links are in the video description.

Next Time: More MM fangames of course.

I've found a new low for MM fangames...

In this part i hit the bottom of the barrel (even if i'm not halfway through this marathon).

The links are in the video description.

Next Time: Two special fangames.

There's a Double Feature on today's episode of MM Fangames Extravaganza!

Today i'll showcase two fangames: one that's long and clunky, and another one that lasts forever.

The links are in the video description.

Next Time: Some MMX related fangames.

It's time to play some more MMX related fangames!

Edit: Now with annotations! apparently sometimes i can put them and other times can't, but anyways, here they are!

Original Description:
Get it? because the roman nomber for 10 is "X", hehehe... (I know, that was a bad joke).
But anyways, here's some MM Fangames that tried to be like MMX, but failed misserably.

Also, Another rant about YT:
YouTube's Annotation System doesn't work with this video (and that's the 2nd time it happens, the first time was with the last part of MMDash: Director's cut).
I don't even know why that happens but it's stupid.

The links are in the video description.

Next Time: More MM Fangames (there's only a few games left).

Prepare for some more MIDI music and some deja vu feelings!

One fangame with two demos. That's what we'll have for today's episode.

The links are in the video description.

Next Time: More MM Fangames (there's only six left).

We have two more fangames in this episode!

This time we have two more fangames before we reach the 4 final ones!

The links are in the video description.

Next Time: A fangame where you play as one of the most iconic enemies in classic MM (and no, it's not a met, there's a whole series of fangames about it already).

We'll follow the adventures of a renegade Sniper Joe in this episode!

Now we've reached one on the last 4 fangames i have to show you. This is "Sniper Joe". It's actually a pretty decent game (at least compared to most of the crap i've played already), but, as always, it has some issues.

This one will be really long to cover (i'm talking about 5 parts about this one fangame), why? well, you'll see when i get to the first of the Main stages in this video.

We take a trip to space in this episode!

Apoligies for the lack of videos yesterday, some technical difficulties happened.
But anyways, we continue with the adventures of this renegade Sniper Joe. This time we'll rush into the skies and fly in the most boring "space shooter" stage ever (it makes every single space shooter minigame from Action 52 look fun by comparison).

The download link to this game is in Part 1.

We'll go through the longest quarry in the world in this episode!

After falling from space we'll go to Not-Gutsman's Quarry, and jeez, it really is THAT long (much like almost every stage in this game).

The download link to this game is in Part 1.

We have the most boring stage to get though in this episode!

Today we'll go to the most lifeless and boring stage of this game to fight the craziest boss of the bunch.

The download link to this game is in Part 1.

Sniper Joe's adventures end in this episode!

I've saved the "best" for last. This time i'll look at the last 3 of the main stages of this game.

The download link to this game is in Part 1.

Next Time: Another MM fangame (that will probably take less time and less parts to get through).

Megaman comes back in this episode!

There's only 3 fangames left, and this is one of them. This is "Megaman Chronicles: The Cold Boltman", a fangame that has a lot of features, but also a lot of issues that makes it almost unplayable.

Created by Cold Adv Hayate Games.
