Mega Met
You might have seen this on some Discord servers,

Basically a standard Mega Man game where everything is mets. Everything.
And to be consistent with Mets' cuteness, it'll be relatively shorter (4 Met Masters) and easier. Nobody wants to get frustrated in a game that's supposed to be cute and happy.

Hard Hat but they are all Mets.
I like the idea itself, and the designs of the mets are cute!

Huh..... Interesting.

I do remember a series of fan games called Hard Hat by Damaged Games. I guess this is going to be a similar fashion, except everything is basically Mets?

And hopefully with better physics, which I think will be the case, since this looks like Mega Engine. Hard Hat 1 and 2 were *not* fun to control, so if this can give me something that's actually solid physics-wise, I'm all for the concept.

This is looking okay so far. Hope it turns out well.

Yeah, I believe that was one of my inspirations. Was probably the game that gave me the idea of putting the hide move in.

Well you're in luck. It does indeed use the Mega Engine. I also have a coder on board so it shouldn't be a broken mess.

And yes, everything is mets. Even Dr. Wily.

i really hope those arrows on the stage select aren't the weakness order because that would be so lame lol. looks really cute tho!!

Those arrows are to prevent confusion on the stage select. Pressing up goes to Tornado Met, right to Ice etc.
And I didn't put them in a + arrangement because people might expect more bosses after (like MM7) and I just preffer the X arrangement.

I hate to double-post, and I hate asking for this, but
it'd be very helpful to have some more programmers for this game.
Why? Well...
The current programming team is just me and Binary. Both of us are busy with irl stuff and I'm not very good at coding. I have had help from Wrecking, but I don't want to poke him too much, because MM Maker exists. As a result, the programming is going quite slowly and thus, any person interested can take this as a side project.

This game is being made in Game Maker 8.1 with the Mega Engine (you can port it to Studio, but you'll have to go through replacing all the new stuff and you'll lose me as I have no experience with Studio). We have that Dropbox sharing thingy set up.

Is the bosses still giving the original weapons intentional, or are you still planning to use the new weapon ideas you posted on Discord?

The bosses are giving new weapons; they aren't in the vid because we haven't made 3 of them, the icons are still the old ones.
And I dumped everything in the video so I don't need to post everything seperately and things can be seen in practice.
