[WIP] Battle Network Universe
ok this is a fangame i was working on

this is yet another MMBN MMO attempt on game maker

what's done so far:

-connects to website
the website has the updates, announces, and other data, for now if you enter to the website it only shows who's online ingame

-it auto-updates
checks for updates and downloads from the website if required

-custom navis
custom sprite sheets are uploaded to the website, when you see a user with custom navi it will download that user's sprite sheet

-mistery datas
green mistery data randomly spawns on the map, it contents varies with the location

Some ideas

-User's homepage
a customizable spawn point for every user, here you may add a BBS change background and other ideas i have, you can make it public so other users can visit your HP.

-Hostings
this is where your HP is connected to, for example if your hosting is on the undernet when you leave your HP you will be on the undernet,

-Crosses
when playing with friends you can use his cross, that means your element and native abilities change to your friend's, your sprite will be recolored to your friend navi's color

-Ghost Navis
when you beat a boss you usually can search the ghost data of EX and SP navis right? well, you will be able to customize an AI for a ghost navi of your own navi, this will be pretty limited but it could be something cool if well done... these navis would be usually found on that user's HP

To do list before public testing

-finish the combat system
-code chips (the only chip that does something is cannon)
-PvP
-user's HP
-more viruses
-shops
-better default navi battle sprites
-outlined text (lol)

I like this idea ^^

Will you have the privilege to literally create your own Navis by hand in this game, like Player Mod/Content wise?

something like that, for now you must send me the sprite sheet and i must upload it to the server

i will think a way to make it semi automatic

That's pretty cool!

I'm sure you guys will also help put in power level and license systems. ^^ I really like allowing players to be creative and stuff, so that's what drew me to BNU.
